Choosing which shots get shown on the livestream can help usher people into worship, or distract us from what's happening. While the number of camera shots, or specific settings may change, here are some good general principles for choosing the shots:

  • At the beginning of the service, or songs, it's often good to start with a wider shot of the whole stage. This helps show people what they are hearing or going to see. In the film world, this would be called your "establishing shot"
  • Use the auto or fade transition sparingly! Only between sections of services, or intentionally on slow songs do fade transitions work well.
