Borrowing In-Ear Monitors (IEMs): Expectations & Cleaning Guidelines

To support consistency and hygiene for everyone on our Worship Team, we’ve outlined a few important guidelines for borrowing church-provided in-ear monitors (IEMs). Please take a moment to review and follow these expectations.

🔄 Borrowing Expectations

  • For Occasional Use Only: Church-provided IEMs are intended for short-term use. If you serve regularly, we highly recommend purchasing your own pair for the best fit and performance.
  • Handle with Care: Please treat all gear as if it were your own. Coil cables loosely, avoid yanking connectors, and store them gently.
  • Return Promptly: After your service, return the IEMs to the designated storage area or team lead unless otherwise directed.

🧼 Cleaning Procedure (Before Returning)

Clean your borrowed IEMs immediately after use with these quick steps:

  1. Remove wax and debris: Use the provided cleaning tool to gently check for and remove any earwax or debris from the earpieces.
  2. Wipe Eartips & Earpieces: Use a sanitizing wipe to clean the outside of the ear tips and earpieces. Avoid moisture near the speaker ports.
  3. Wipe the Cable: Quickly wipe down the entire cable.
  4. Inspect & Dry: Make sure everything looks clean and is free of residue. Allow all parts to air dry before returning to storage (this should only take a moment!).

🙌 Thank You!

These simple steps help us maintain hygiene, extend the life of our gear, and keep services running smoothly. If you notice any damage or issues with your IEMs, please let the Tech Director know right away.
