* Make sure that all vocalists have their mics and in-ears before rehearsal starts. The mic assignments are listed backstage, but they always go left to right from the perspective of the sound board. Eg: the vocalist on the far left of the stage (from the audience perspective) is always Mic 1 and IEM 1.
* Assist with troubleshooting. You're the first responder for faulty cables, dead batteries, in-ear monitor issues, or any other audio problem. Try your best to fix it and communicate the issue and solution with the FOH engineer!
* During the final run through, walk through the lobby to ensure that the mix sounds appropriate in that space.
* Be available to oversee the board if the FOH engineer has to step out. Ride faders, avoid feedback, and stay on your toes until the FOH engineer is ready to jump back in.
Eg: the vocalist on the far left of the stage (from the audience perspective) is always Mic 1 and IEM 1.
* Check that ASL Interpreter's headset. Make sure the battery health is good and that it is receiving audio.
* Have mics ready for communicators and hosts when they arrive for cue-to-cue. Generally, 8am is when we aim to have those mics ready. Be ready to teach them proper mic technique if necessary.
* Be ready on wireless comms to communicate with the rest of the tech team in case of an issue. The FOH engineer's main job is to mix, and they need both ears to do that! You can wear a headset and monitor communications in case the producer needs to communicate with audio or vice versa.
* Don't be afraid to ask for help! Producers and FOH engineers are always happy to help you fill your role well. Have a question? Faced with a new problem? Ask for help and use it as a learning experience.
For some, serving as an A2 is a stepping stone to serving as a FOH mix engineer. Here are some practical ways to grow in your skillset and move forward in your journey towards FOH.

* Master the skill of staying calm, collected, and focused. Great FOH engineers are able to execute services well, even when things go wrong. Every time there's an issue to solve or a problem to fix, use it as an opportunity to become more cool under pressure.
* Practice proactivity. During services, a FOH engineer always has to think ahead. Practice this skill by familiarizing yourself with the service order, thinking ahead during services, and picturing what steps you would take
* Ask lots of questions! The FOH engineer's main responsibility is executing Sunday morning services with excellence, but they will always be happy to explain what they're working on, what they're listening for, and how they're addressing issues.
* On your own time, listen to a wide range of music genres. Great audio engineers have great critical listening skills, and those are developed through practice.

== Vision ==
At Frontline, our vision is to see Zero Lives Unchanged by Jesus. We view technical arts both as an art form that is worship unto the Lord and as a tool that can help point people to Jesus.

== Values ==
'''We worship God in our lives and through our art.''' Before we can lead others in worship, we're called to be worshippers; not just on Sunday mornings, but in every aspect of our lives.

'''We lead others in worship.''' Our role is to point people to Jesus. Whether through crafting an audio mix that helps people sing boldly,

'''We work together as a team.''' We walk alongside, encourage, and support one another. We collaborate with each other on the tech team and we collaborate with the band, vocalists, and communicators.

== Expectations ==

===== Zero Collective Worship Arts Commitments =====
'''1) Commitment to serving.''' “How can I help you?” No matter what we find in our hands to do, whether singing, playing an instrument, operating a camera, mixing audio, or anything in between, our first question to each other and to our church should be ‘how can I help you?’. I’m here to help you, not the other way around.

'''2) Commitment to Spiritual development.''' “Who am I following?” I am actively taking steps to know and follow Jesus. If I know and follow Jesus, I am growing in my relationship with Him (Galatians 5:16-25).

'''3) Commitment to humility.''' “How can I place the mission above myself?” Philippians 2:1-11 highlights this so well. It’s the ultimate example of willing submission to another without personal pride.

'''4) Commitment to ownership'''. “If this was ‘my problem’ what would I do differently?” We don’t just manage, but we own it. We bring solutions, not just problems. We fix things that are broken. We actively look for gaps and needs and fill them.

'''5) Commitment to excellence.''' “Is this my best?” Excellence isn’t perfection, but it is my best, and my best means always growing.

'''6) Commitment to learning.''' “How can I do this better?” When I’m actively looking for opportunities to learn and grow in every situation, constructive criticism doesn’t come as an attack on me as a person but an answer to the question I’ve been asking all along.

'''7) Commitment to being a team player.''' “Who can I include in this?” We all have a role to play and we are better together (1 Corinthians 12).

'''8) Commitment to multiplication.''' "Who am I pouring into?” We are always about raising up others to do what we do better than we do it.

'''9) Commitment to fun.''' “Do I take myself too seriously?” No explanation needed. Don’t forget to laugh! Church is to be enjoyed, not endured!

'''10) Commitment to the cause.''' “Am I all in?” I will support the Biblical foundations of The Zero Collective by affirming its core beliefs, values, and expectations as we seek to follow Christ.

===== What You Can Expect From Us =====

* We will pray for you and be there for you in every season of life.
* We will work to keep all of our spaces clean, organized, and managed.
* We will come prepared, prayed up, and on time.
* We will remain open-handed with our plans so that we can respond to the Spirit’s leading.

===== What We Can Expect From You =====

* Be a worshiper. Make it about Jesus and not about yourself.
* Be practiced, prepared, and prayed up and on time.
* Be present and engaged with worship even when you’re not serving on the team.
* Respond promptly to scheduling requests and communicate what would be helpful for us to know.
* Adhere to The Zero Collective core beliefs, values, and expectations as defined in our guiding principles.
* Be a representative of Jesus in all manners of dress, speech, and behavior both personally and publicly.

=== Handheld Camera Operator ''*** Actively Recruiting ***'' ===
Camera operators help guide the congregation into worship by ensuring that every shot enhances, rather than distracts from, the experience.
=== ProPresenter Operator ===
ProPresenter Operators are responsible for all lyrics, slides, and graphics that are displayed during services. ProP Ops play one of the most critical roles in each service by ensuring that everyone sees the right information at the right time. They are expected to bring a high level of poise, calm, and focus to the team. '''''*No experience necessary!'''''

=== Producer ===
Producers provide technical, creative, and spiritual leadership to the team. They're responsible for bringing each role into one cohesive team, collaborating with communicators and worship leaders, and helping the tech team lead worship at a high level. Producers are required to have at least one year of experience on the tech team. They are expected to portray Biblical qualifications for leadership, model Frontline's cultural values, and be highly proficient in at least one position on the team.

== Safeties, Consistencies, Freedoms ==
Each position has a unique list of safeties, consistencies, and freedoms. These are a framework that we use to differentiate required standards from areas for creative freedom and expression.

'''Safeties -''' Aspects of each role that we view as bare minimum necessities in order to lead people in worship well or to cover organizational needs. We're all accountable for making sure that we hit our safeties each week.

'''Consistencies''' - Aspects of each role that we view as important landmarks for creating a consistent experience for our church. We're all responsible for growing towards hitting these consistencies on a weekly basis.

'''Freedoms''' - Aspects of each role in which you have space to express your own God-given creativity and artistry as you worship Him.

Jared: /* Safeties, Consistences, Freedoms */

== Vision ==
At Frontline, our vision is to see Zero Lives Unchanged by Jesus. We view technical arts both as an art form that is worship unto the Lord and as a tool that can help point people to Jesus.

== Values ==

== Expectations ==

* We will have our serving schedule to you at least one month in advance (including songs, keys and orders in PCO).

'''Borrowing In-Ear Monitors (IEMs): Expectations & Cleaning Guidelines'''

To support consistency and hygiene for everyone on our Worship Team, we’ve outlined a few important guidelines for borrowing church-provided in-ear monitors (IEMs). Please take a moment to review and follow these expectations.
----

=== 🔄 Borrowing Expectations ===

* '''For Occasional Use Only:''' Church-provided IEMs are intended for short-term use. If you serve regularly, we highly recommend purchasing your own pair for the best fit and performance.
* '''Handle with Care:''' Please treat all gear as if it were your own. Coil cables loosely, avoid yanking connectors, and store them gently.
* '''Return Promptly:''' After your service, return the IEMs to the designated storage area or team lead unless otherwise directed.

----

=== 🧼 Cleaning Procedure (Before Returning) ===
Clean your borrowed IEMs immediately after use with these quick steps:

# '''Remove wax and debris:''' Use the provided cleaning tool to gently check for and remove any earwax or debris from the earpieces.
# '''Wipe Eartips & Earpieces:''' Use a sanitizing wipe to clean the outside of the ear tips and earpieces. Avoid moisture near the speaker ports.
# '''Wipe the Cable:''' Quickly wipe down the entire cable.
# '''Inspect & Dry:''' Make sure everything looks clean and is free of residue. Allow all parts to air dry before returning to storage (this should only take a moment!).

----

=== 🙌 Thank You! ===
These simple steps help us maintain hygiene, extend the life of our gear, and keep services running smoothly. If you notice any damage or issues with your IEMs, please let the Tech Director know right away.

Jared: /* Digital Signage TV's */

== Livestream TV's ==
We currently have 3 TV's that essentially display the livestream feed during services. There is one above the main worship center doors, one in the corner of the angled wall near the bathrooms, and one near the missions cafe. They all receive signal from an SDI to HDMI converter and are daisy chained together.

===== Turning them on =====
* The remote for the TV above the main worship center doors is located in the horseshoe welcome desk.
* The other TV's can be turned on with the power button.

== Digital Signage TV's ==
We currently have 5 different TV's that display digital signage independant from one another. There are three on the center post in the lobby, one on the Zero Collective wall, and one by to the Essentials Store. They all function using a small computer that runs VLC Media Player, which can be triggered using Companion and controlled through Remote Desktop.

===== Turning them on =====
* The TV's on the center post should always remain on. If one is turned off, use one of the "TCL" remotes located in the welcome desk to turn it on.
* To turn on the ZC Wall TV and Essentials Store TV, press the power button.
** The power buttons are located behind the lower left corner of the TV screen.
** You will also need to turn on their computers by pressing and holding the power button on the center of the computer. You will see a small blue light and hear the computer fan turn on briefly.
** Note that the ZC Wall TV will only receive power if the lobby lights are turned on.

===== Troubleshooting =====
* The TV displays an orange traffic cone (the VLC media player screen).
** On any available full size Stream Deck, navigate to the "TVs" page.
** Press "____ Sign - Sunday" for the correct TV. When in doubt, nothing bad will happen if you push all of the "Sunday" buttons.

* The TV displays a blank desktop and/or an error message.
** Open [https://remotedesktop.google.com/u/1/access/?pli=1 remotedesktop.google.com/access] and ensure that you're logged into the tech@frontlinegr.com email. Navigate to the broken digital signage TV and log in using pin "123456"
** Get rid of any error messages and open VLC media player.
** Return to the StreamDeck "TVs" page and press "____ Sign - Sunday" for the correct TV. When in doubt, nothing bad will happen if you push all the "Sunday" buttons.
* When all else fails... just turn off the TV :)

'''🎥 ONLINE CHAT HOST GUIDE'''

''Creating a welcoming, encouraging space during livestreamed services. Help people who are joining online take their next step towards being a part of the Frontline church community.''

'''BEFORE SERVICE'''

Log in before service starts to engage with early attenders.

Greet early attendees with phrases like "''Good morning! We’re so glad you’re here. Service starts soon—say hi and let us know where you’re watching from!”''

'''DURING SERVICE'''

Comment occasionally and thoughtfully. If there isn't a conversation to engage in, an occasional short message can set the standard.

''Examples: “Such a powerful message!” “Amen!”''

Answer questions quickly and kindly

Be ready to share links (e.g., giving, next steps, prayer)

Encourage connection. For example: ''“Need prayer? Drop a comment or go to frontlinegr.com/prayer—we’d love to pray with you.”''

'''AFTER SERVICE'''

Thank viewers for coming. For example: ''“Thanks for joining us today—have a great week!”''

Prompt a next step. For example: ''“Want to connect more? Visit frontlinegr.com/new to plan your visit!''

'''HELPFUL LINKS'''

Frontline website: frontlinegr.com

First step for first-time visitors: frontlinegr.com/new

How to join a group: frontlinegr.com/groups

'''FOR ADDITIONAL SUPPORT'''

For technical support, ask the producer or tech director.

<u>For support with a challenging comment or guest, talk to the tech director or any available staff member.</u>

Jared:

== Livestream TV's ==
We currently have 3 TV's that essentially display the livestream feed during services. There is one above the main worship center doors, one in the corner of the angled wall near the bathrooms, and one near the missions cafe. They all receive signal from an SDI to HDMI converter and are daisy chained together.

===== Turning them on =====
* The remote for the TV above the main worship center doors is located in the horseshoe welcome desk.
* The other TV's can be turned on with the power button.

== Digital Signage TV's ==

===== Turning them on =====
* The TV's on the center post should always remain on.

===== Troubleshooting =====
** Get rid of any error messages and open VLC media player.
** Return to the StreamDeck "TVs" page and press "____ Sign - Sunday" for the correct TV. When in doubt, nothing bad will happen if you push all the "Sunday" buttons.

'''** This page is in early development! Stay tuned for more details and resources. **'''

== Role Overview ==
Producers provide leadership and oversight to the tech team. They invest in the team relationally and spiritually, foster creative collaboration and the pursuit of growth among the team, and ensure that services encourage everyone to respond to the Holy Spirit.

== Investing in the Team Relationally and Spiritually ==

=== What to do During Rehearsal ===

* Watch for anyone on the team that is isolated - help include them in conversation!
* Help introduce people new team members to the rest of the team.
* Don't be afraid to take time away from rehearsal to have a conversation or to pray for someone. People are more important than the position they fill, so it's okay to press pause on rehearsal if it's necessary.

== Fostering Creative Collaboration and Growth ==

=== What to do During Rehearsal ===

* “Make the rounds” during rehearsal to check in with each position. Check that they have everything they need and answer any questions.
* Help troubleshoot issues that arise. Remember - training and empowering the team is a crucial part of this role! Some issues can be resolved by team members or can be great training opportunities.
* Facilitate conversations between different positions that should be talking.
** If FOH and online audio are dealing with the same problem, get them to work together on solving it.
** Make sure that the video team is collaborating and working together smoothly.

== Ensure That Services Encourage Everyone to Respond to the Holy Spirit ==
Our primary goal isn't to make services run smoothly. Our primary goal is to lead people in worship - which starts with being worshippers ourselves.

Sometimes, this looks like having a perfectly run service that is free of technical issues. Other times, it looks like stripping back the lighting design to match the direction that the Holy Spirit is leading us in worship. Perhaps it looks like stepping into a role during the sermon because a team member needs to respond to an altar call.

No matter what, our first responsibility is simply to worship, ''then'' lead others in worship.

The best time for us to make sure that services are free of distractions is during rehearsal and cue-to-cue.

=== What to do During Rehearsal and Cue-to-Cue ===

* Looking through the Planning Center call sheet, talk with the worship leader, tech director, and/or communicators if any element is unclear or may require special attention from the tech team.
* Collaborate with worship leader
** Make sure the band and vocals have everything they need.
** Ask about any times during the service that they expect there to be spontaneous or unplanned moments.
* Collaborate with communicators
** Confirm when communicators come on and off stage, when the teaching TV should come up and go down, and any other transitions that the tech team needs to collaborate on.
* Before the beginning of service, walk through lobby to check audio and TV’s.
